An Admission Letter is a letter written by an institution of higher learning to inform a student of his/her admission to the institution. The letter is of great importance to a student and should contain all important information regarding the admission such as successful placement for the course, semester dates, reporting dates, tuition fees, etc. It is then up to the student to decline or accept the offer of admission for the assigned course in the institution.
An admission letter is an official confirmation letter from an institution and is to be written in a very formal tone. The letter should be short, precise and to the point. Avoid creating any confusion in the mind of the receiver. The confirmation of admission, course name, and reporting date should be given in the introduction paragraph itself. The letter must also mention the important documents that are to be produced during the reporting time or admission process.
